Star Child brings together videos and paintings made during a period shaped by divorce, intimacy, music, and the relationship between mothers and daughters. In the video Bard’s Inn, the artist and her mother attempt a road trip that never leaves a Shakespeare-themed hotel, shifting travel from physical movement to psychological space.
The paintings draw from found snapshots and home videos from the 1980s and 1990s. Familiar forms—eyes, mouths, bodies—surface through rapid mark-making and remain unresolved.
