As the camera pans across magazine images—stilettos, parquet floors, designer furniture, carefully placed art books—a young woman whispers what she calls “positive affirmations.” The sound is muffled, yet the clichés register as commands: “Move on, it’s just a chapter in the past.” “Don’t close the book, just turn the page.”
